How to read an entry
Sourced entries point to an archive that holds the work; the link goes back to it and the
credit stays with them. Original entries are written by this Index to cover what those archives miss.
In both cases the three layers — Lyric, Labor, Theory — are our annotation, not the source's words.
✓ fact-checked means the entry has been checked against sources beyond the archive it
came from, and corrected where it was wrong. Sourced · unchecked means the annotation follows the compiling
archive's own account and has not yet been independently verified — it is not a claim that the entry is doubtful,
only that we have not done that work yet. Where documentation is genuinely thin, the entry says so in its own text.
Entries concerning artists at risk carry a sensitive flag and use only information that is
already public. Audio is embedded from the source platform and never hosted here. Contributors and corrections welcome —
if an entry misstates your work, or your community's, we want to hear about it.
